Our story

Gabela, a rich archaeological site on the banks of the Neretva River, is situated five kilometers south of Čapljina. Among the many notable medieval buildings, the remains of old city walls and sculptures of stone lions – symbols of Venetian (Maltese) culture – still endure. Due to its exceptional geostrategic importance, which he managed to connect with the most famous work of Homer, Mexican archaeologist Roberto Salinas Price claims that Gabela was, in fact, the ancient Homeric Troy.
